Fireworks, Zombies & the Bieb

Twas the night before the 4th,
and all through the land,
nothing was exploding
because fireworks were banned.

Ok, no more bad poetry, but seriously. Thanks to the drought and million-degree temperatures, the people of my homeland will miss out on the fun of blowing shit up with their friends on this most awesome of holidays.

I'm happy to report that I have the day off of work tomorrow (woo!), but it will most likely be spent wrangling a toddler, and not in a field shooting bottle rockets at each other. Sad day.

Independence Day has always been my favorite holiday, but I really am not sure how to celebrate without fireworks. I guess I'll buy some hotdogs or something. Are hotdogs patriotic? Is hotdog one word or two? These are very important questions.

Moving on.

On another  semi-work-related front: I have this weekend off.

What is so special about this weekend, you ask? There just so happens to be a Walking Dead marathon on AMC this weekend.

Totally stole this from Pinterest. I'm not that hilarious.

I realize I may be the only person on the planet that is THAT excited about this, but I nearly did a happy dance when I saw I wasn't on the schedule this weekend. Maybe my boss overheard me talking about it and decided to throw me a bone.

So, my ass will be planted in the living room all weekend soaking up the Grimey-goodness. And chasing a toddler. But still, ZOMBIES! ALL WEEKEND! ZOMG!!1!!!!!1!ELEVEN

Also, (switching gears here. Try to keep up.) we've had a surprising amount of tolerable music at work the past couple of weeks.

This is what you need to download (legally, duh) right this second:
"50 Ways to Say Goodbye" {Train}
"Some Nights" {Fun}
"She's So Mean" {Matchbox 20}
"Boyfriend" {Justin Bieber}

I'm kidding about that last one, by the way. Don't download it. Please.
